Well, it’s been a very very very very very long time since I’ve posted. Since I got back to town in August, I ‘ve been very busy. This Christmas has been the first time that I’ve actually had time to get things done. Lots of excitement going on. I am now an EMT! I finished my first time being on call last week. Let’s just say that it’s going to be interesting in the best possible way. Otherwise, I’ve been out and about hiking and getting some diving in! Anyway, here are some pictures from my trip last summer on a dinosaur dig in Denali, the San Juans, and the Redwoods. Enjoy!

A Really Good Link
Here’s a link to a cool comic written about the Aleutians. It’s called the”Aleutian Crisis”. It’s very politically frank.

Farewell Dear Diving Buddy!

Well, Mark is leaving for good on the ferry next week. I’m bummed about losing my “diving partner in crime”. But, we thought we would never make it through our Advanced Scuba ceritfication and we did! We’ve decided that since we didn’t kill each other it’s a good idea for us to take flying lessons together next summer! That should be interesting:) Anyway, here’s to the best goggle-less racquetball player Dutch Harbor has seen!

Hiking Without Snow!

Besides heading to the secret cabin, I haven’t done much hiking since early this spring when there was still a need for snow shoes on most of the trails. So, Katherine and I decided to head out and get some fresh air and do a very quick jaunt up Ballyhoo. It’s not a difficult hike, but the top has an amazing view. Here are some pictures of us being nerds:)

Wine Pouring
Well, I had previously said that I had about 5 months of pictures to put up. It’s slow going. Anyway, my friend Katherine had invited me to be a “pourer of wine”. Our wine was “Little Black Dress”. Needless to say, I had more wine than I was pouring and Katherine’s black dress wound up with more wine on it than I was putting into glasses thanks to my antics.

Hello Out There!

Well, so much for June as a break. I am teaching summer school ( in need of money ). But, I am doing some hiking and diving. I leave in a week for Denali and then off to home mid-July:) I should be posting along the way if my plans go accordingly. Here are some pictures from a week old dive. What a fashion statement. I also had the most beautiful dive yet earlier this week! It was along a wall and the water was amazing. Reid, Dan, Mark, and I went. Mark and I got to hold an octopus and I was inked!
